More like a Pastor to let go, let the authorities do the rest.
The General Overseer of Prayer Centre Church of God (PCCG), Idanre Ondo State, Prophet Samson Oluwamodede, said he has forgiven 44-year-old Festus Balogun AKA Smart, who accused of being a fake preacher.
Balogun, an indigene of Cotonou in Benin Republic, caused a stir in the Christian community recently with a VCD titled Asiritu (The secret is out) where he alleged Oluwamodede was using water drawn from River Osun to prepare tea for over 10,000 participants at his well-known quarterly marathon fasting programme.
He was however paraded by the Ondo State Police Command three weeks ago where he confessed he resorted to blackmailing Oluwamodede to make money.
Oluwamodede told reporters last week that he has forgiven Balogun.
According to him:”It was God that exposed him. So, it is for God to forgive him.
“But for me, I have forgiven him and I pray that he finds favour before God.”
He called on bodies such as Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) to always speak with one voice and be united.
He urged them to always investigate allegations against men of God with a view to finding the truth.
Oluwamodede said: “I expected the CAN and PFN to investigate the matter to find out if the suspect was really lying or saying the truth about these men of God but they were silent all through.”
